Before you can reconnect DSTV, you have to verify your account balance. To do this, dial *120*68584#, then choose option 1. The account balance will be shown.
DStv reconnection after payment received
It takes a maximum of 15 minutes for a customer to activate their subscription after payment. Firstly, there are many ways to do so, such as transferring money, paying bills, and reconnecting the account. Secondly, if, however, you have already paid for the subscription but cannot use it due to some reason, then this feature will automatically suspend your account for 7 to 14 days. This eliminates the worry of not using the account. In addition, Dstv does allow you to change your plan. To do this, log into your account and choose the package plan. Multichoice does charge a reconnection fee.
Why does DStv reconnection take so long?
