How does the extra view feature work?
The main purpose of the extra view feature is to link secondary decoders in the house to one primary decoder. They will now share the same subscription. One aspect to remember, however, is that you can only link a maximum of two decoders.
When you connect them, the primary decoder will send signals to these secondary decoders. You can choose to use a communication cable or a smart LNB in this process. The cable is faster, and you won’t experience any delays in program streaming.
Can you use extra view in your household?
The smart LNB option is not available if your household uses a communal system or a single dish. For this, you will need the DStv smart switch. The connection should be done properly to prevent the E143 error message that will interfere with your watching.
Are there extra channels on the secondary decoder?
Since these two decoders share a subscription, the channels available for the primary decoder are the same for the secondary one. You will not get additional channels unless you upgrade your package.
